My favorite homemade energy bar

As an experiment I made two different kind of energy bars for my last run. I got a lot of positive responses on one of them. That’s why I want to share this recipe with you. I mixed others recipes together and made it my own. I am not a good cook, but I was proud of the result.

healthy foodRecipe of my homemade energy bar:

  • 100g rolled oats
  • 100g almonds
  • 100g cashew nuts

Put the above products together in a cooking tray in a pre-heated oven at 180C for 10 minutes.

  • 200g dates
  • 100g honey
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

Cut the dates in a food processor. Add the roasted nut mixture, honey, cinnamon and vanilla. Pulse and process all the ingredients together for a short time. The nuts must be chopped roughly.

Put some baking paper in a cooking tray. Fill the tray with the mixture. Press the mixture with some love (secret ingredient) in the tray. Cut the healthy pie into small bars. Cook this tray in the oven for 30 minutes at 150C.

You need a little patience, let it rest out of the oven, to cool it down. You can break the bars and taste them. ENJOY

It’s so easy and so much fun to make these tasty energy bars. These bars are much healthier than the bars you buy in the stores. We add only natural sugar and no refined sugar.
